CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTATION

After completion of the design phases of a project, we begin preparation of construction documents. These documents will be used for bidding, permit application and actual construction.

Construction documents generally consist of:

- Site Plan: Prepared by a consulting civil engineer/surveyor from our concept plans. This will also be the basis for future landscape planning.

- Architectural Plans (‘A’ Series): These documents generally include the following types of drawings: Demolition Plans, Foundation plans/details as required, Lower level plan (of finished areas), First floor plan, Second floor plan, Attic level plan (if any), Roof plan, building elevations, required building sections (primarily at changes in general structure conditions or room volumes), wall sections and enlarged plan/elevation details as required

- Structural Plans (‘S’ Series):These documents generally include the following types of drawings: Structural plans for all floor and roof levels, specialty details related to structural components of the residence

-Electrical Plans (‘E’ Series): These documents generally include the following types of drawings: Lighting, switch, and power lay-out plans for each floor level. Specialty lighting, integrated systems design, and A/V may need to be prepared by separate consultants and/or suppliers.
