This resort home was designed to meet three primary but conficting characters. The first was to feel like a Mackinac Island Victorian cottage with wrap-around porches. The second was to emulate a stone castle with turrets and towers. The third was to incorporate larche picture window areas to take advantage of the tremendous views down the shipping lanes of Lake Michigan. This house also had to sit sensitively on the edge of the sand dunes with the National Park beyond.
